Sangla Hill is a tehsil located in Nankana Sahib District in the Punjab Province of Pakistan.

Sangla hill is a tehsil under district Nankana Sahib. First it was under District Sheikhupura during Pervaiz Musharaf reign it was shifted to Nankana.
Agriculture is one of the main sources of employment, the town has been a popular grain market for last 80 years as the town is located in a highly fertile area. The Rakh Branch canal passes near one side of the town and is an irrigation source, the canal passes areas of Salarwala Chak Jhumra and ends at Samundri.
Many people commute to work in cities such as Faisalabad or Lahore daily for business and employment. The HUDA Sugar Mill has been operating since 1980 in this city. This city has been prividing jobs to three thousand people for making hand woven carpets.
However the primary source of income comes from overseas Pakistanis, almost 50% houses in Sangla Hill have at least one person who has gone abroad especially in Middle East, UK,USA, Canada and other countries of Europe.
It is an historic town located at a height of 313m from sea level.[1] The town has some very old buildings belonging to Hindu people who left them in place during the partition of 1947. A Hindu temple is still visible at the side of Salarwala Sangla Hill road just outside the main city. The chief feature and logical reason for the name of the town is a hill. The peak of this hill is visible from five miles. There are two police stations, police station Sadr and City police station. The town also has 2 degree colleges, one for boys and one for girls. There are two best schools; St. Anthony High School, an International School System and Fauji Foundation higher secondary school which are working from last 22 years and their medium is English and produce highly qualified persons of Sangla Hill. Ever Green Grammar School is newly opened school of 2011 and it has a highly qualified staff. It is middle/primary school. Longowall is also very famous village of sangla Hill situated at north-east side.
The whole city is built around the Main bazaar and the Committee bazaar which lie at the heart of the city and act as the economic centre of the city. All the shops and markets are situated here and this also acts as the primary source of income.
There are several stories about Alexander the Great visiting the hill, spending almost a year at the peak, and liking it. At that time the hill was a massive one. Some hills were also in chak no 46 chatha. But now they have almost vanished. It is strange due to the presence of a lonely hill in it. These hills are strange because the land almost within 100 km does not contain any hill and is a perfect plain.
The city is 20 km south-west of Shahkot and 35 km North West of Sheikhupura.
It is located in Sandal Bar. and known for the production of guava (amrood), rice, wheat and sugar cane as well as all the important vegetables. Its land is highly fertile and is producing high yield cash crops. At east side there is Safdarabad road. And at north side a road is goes to Hafizabad. At its west main faisalabad road links it to Faisalabad. At the southern side shahkot road is under construction.
Bhulair Chak 119 is a village near Sangla Hill. and it is now included in the city of Sangla Hill and on other side chack 45 RB is also included in the city area.
Chahoor Sikhan Chak No. 118 village, situated at right bank of RB is also included in the city now. This village had Sikh Population before partition, who left this area and Arains who migrated from East Punjab settled in this village. It has two secondary schools one for boys and one for girls.
Hockey like all the other parts of the country is the game of choice for majority. Along with hockey, cricket, indoor games like snooker and billiards are also played as well as volleyball. Some other games like chess, badminton and football are also played seasonally.the wollyboll team of longowal is very famous in the area. In cricket, Sangla has produced some of the pillars like Naeem Ullah khan (played for different banks), Rajoo, Adnan Gudoo, Asif Nona, Yunas, Shoaib, Magoo, Akram, Tafi and many more. Chahoor Mughlian is a very famous village in sports field. and Hafiz Sports Complex are arrange the many kind of tournament every year. and Hifiz Bilal Hussain are the president of Hafiz Sports Complex. kabadi is a very famous sport a very famous player is masood bhatti use to play for Pakistan wapda team
The British government had built a railway to carry off the stone from the hill of the city. This tradition continued even after partition. The hill got smaller and smaller and got reduced to the size of a 5 story building. Due to the conservation demands of some locals, government was forced to stop stone cutting from the hill. In 1990-1991, local MNA Ch. Muhammad Barjis Tahir secured funding from the Punjab government for a recreational park. The park was built around the hill with plantation and rides for children. The park was inaugurated by Member Parliament and further grant was also announced for the park.
Recently a contract was completed by the local government in which stairs were built to the top but for hikers there is still the back side of the hill which is very difficult to climb. There is a Mizaar at the hill known as Baba Malkoo ka Mizaar here each year a carnival is held in November in which people from all over the area gather the carnival was held first time in 2001.
Children have many playing facilities. The hill top offers a panoramic view of all around green fields and flowing water of the Rakh Branch Canal Hill park was designed by the architect Saad Cheema . An important village of Sangla Hill is Mali Burji. Pakistan cricket captain Misbah-ul-Haq has played some cricket tournaments by this village. Fauji foundation cricket club (FFCC) was the famous cricket club of sangla hill which produces players like naeem ullah khan, adnan gudoo, munna kabba, suffian sufi, shabban, asif nona, nauman toota, shahjahan, zafar abbas and lala zameer
The closest airport is Faisalabad International Airport which is approximately 65 kilometres from the city through Faisalabad, and is a major transit point for exporting goods to other parts of Pakistan and abroad. There are few well-maintained roads in Sangla hill which connect the city with other cities, but has major links with main roads making it well located in a moderate road network. There is no public bus network within the city but many privately operated rickshaws, auto-rickshaws and tangas.
There is a link road through Sahianwala Interchange through which you can travel to other cities of the country through M2(Motorway).
The Central railway station is the main railway station built during the British reign around the nineteenth century. The station is used to take people to all parts of Pakistan from Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Quetta, Peshawar and many more cities and towns of Pakistan.
A large amount of cargo is exported and imported into Sangla hill with many deliveries a day from all parts of the Pakistan. One more is important thing is that near the railway station the subdivisonal civil and sessions courts are located.Bajwa Transport Company is famous company in Sanglahill.
Since ages the schooling of sangla hill has been very prominent icon of the area starting from faisal abad to sheikhupura. Govt high school No-1 and G/H school no-2 are working efficiently under the Govt cont whereas there are many other private schools in this city but most popular schools are Ever Green Grammar School, Fauji Foundation Higher Secondary School, Oxford High School. Ever Green Grammar School is best of them all because it has a highly qualified staff. It is a Middle/Primary School. Govt high school No 1 is working in te city since 1935 and lead an important role in the 1947 Independence movment. the city has produced very scholarly elders such as the founder of the nawai waqat Hameed Nizami , Maulana she r ahle sunnat bari masjid walay, maulana hanif majaddi and master shaukat ali virk who played a pivital role in the ideological transformation of the city youth and elders.
